Clairvoyance and Crafts Afternoon – Lochgelly Town Hall, 24th November

6 Nov

Looking for something interesting, unusual and fun to do with your day?  Then consider popping along to our Clairvoyance and Crafts event on the 24th November 2012 between 1 and 5pm at the Town Hall, Bank Street, Lochgelly.

Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue’s event promises something for everyone and features a wide range of crafters exhibiting their wares for sale and offering buyers a perfect opportunity to pick up unusual, handmade, one off gifts for that special someone in the lead up to Christmas.

Co Founder Sarah Ross says “we have worked very hard to ensure a balanced and varied range of crafts at this event to ensure a wide selection of wares for the public to peruse.  Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue is a local charity and we would like to bring something different to the town for people to enjoy”

Throughout the afternoon you will have the opportunity to have a reading from our guest Clairvoyants and learn what 2013 may have in store for you.  Our Clairvoyants are travelling near and far to join us for this fantastic event, with the goal of raising critical funding for our new cat rescue centre.

Sarah says “Interest has already been high for clairvoyant readings and we are advising that visitors to the event arrive for 1pm sharp to book their reading to avoid disappointment”

While you wait browse the extensive range of hand crafted gifts from jewellery to homewares, preserves to glassware from over 20 unique and exquisite crafters.

Refreshments will be on hand and we are delighted to announce that Brydies Cup Cakes are joining us on the day. Once tried, never forgotten, Brydies cupcakes are delicious masterpieces and we are sure you will agree as you enjoy her sweet delights over a cup of tea or coffee.
The Clairvoyance, Crafts and Cakes event promises to be a fun, relaxed afternoon with something for everyone’s tastes.

Please, join us, Saturday 24th November at Lochgelly Town Hall situated on Bank Street adjacent to the Bank of Scotland building.

Parking is readily available at Landale Street car park.

Sincere thanks to Glasgow Boxing Promoters – SK Promotions

8 Sep

Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue have a huge debt of thanks to pay to Glasgow based SK Promotions after they raised an amazing £730 from a charity raffle on the 1st & 2nd September in aid of Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue.

The charity raffle was a huge success and the funds raised as a result of the charity raffle will be a fantastic early boost to our Feline Fund Appeal.

On behalf of us all and especially the current and future kitties of Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue, a massive, heartfelt thank you!!!

If you have any ideas for a fundraising event or would like to help us in organising a future fundraiser then please get in touch.

Can you help us?

28 Aug

If you are reading this thank you for visiting to learn about our project and can we say how much we desperately need your help to reach our objectives.

Whilst you can support our project with regular or one off   monetary donations there are also several other ways you can help us create a safe future for the street cats of tomorrow, even if it is just sharing this website, telling friends and family about us and helping us raise more support.

1 way is to arrange community collections.  There are a number of items that Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue collect that we utilise to raise funds for the cat rescue.  Items such as:

  • CD / DVD / Games (Xbox, PS, PC)
  • Unwanted Gifts
  • Mobile Phones
  • Costume Jewellery, Beads, Gold / Silver Jewellery (Broken or whole)
  • Watches (Broken or Whole)
  • Good Quality Clothing
  • Foreign Paper Currency

Perhaps you could post a notice in the local shop?  Or ask friends and family or even neighbours to help in collecting goods?

You could organise a bake sale?  BBQ at home? take part in a car boot sale for the cats?

You don’t have to do anything big, even little things help and the more people we can get to support our work and help us a ‘little’ the greater chance we have to reach our objectives and continue providing first class care to more and more cats every year.

Challenge yourself with a fundraising event such as a sponsored hill walk, swim, cycle, bungee, abseil or any other activity you think would be fun and challenging to raise critical funding needed to save the cats and kittens of tomorrow from disease and sickness as well as homelessness.

If you wish to do a sponsored event remember you can use our Virgin Money Giving pages to collect sponsorship and Gift Aid online.

Whatever way you choose to help know that without you, we could not provide the care we already do for SO many cats and kittens each year.  Without you, we will never be able to improve the world for the cats and kittens of tomorrow.  We desperately need your help to spread the word, help our fundraising efforts and keep us pushing forward in these already very difficult times.

If we don’t put in place plans for the future to expand we fear that our current resources will be stretched to breaking point leaving the cats with no Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue for help.  Please, if you can, take a few moments to consider how best you can help us and our feline charges.

If you would like to know more about our vision for the future be sure to visit our main Feline Fund website.

Please do contact us with any questions you may have or ideas for fundraising you feel can help us achieve our goals.
